Spread out the apple pie filling in a 9 by 13-inch casserole dish.
Sprinkle the cake mix evenly on top, and then sprinkle on the oats. Drizzle the melted butter evenly on top, making sure there aren’t any dry patches.
Bake (uncovered) until the cobbler is golden on top and the sides are bubbling, about 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Serve warm, topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream and caramel sauce if desired.
