Lookout Cinnabon, there’s a new sweet pastry around; this Mug Cinnamon Roll recipe has sweet, aromatic dough with a buttery brown sugar cinnamon swirl. It whips up in minutes and cooks right in the microwave. Meet your favorite new go-to sweet treat!
Add all ingredients to a small bowl and mix with a fork until well-combined.
For the Dough:
Add the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt to a cereal-sized bowl and use a fork to combine. Add in the butter, milk, and vanilla and mix until it forms a dough. Knead the dough together a few times in your hands.
Lay a piece of wax paper out on a flat surface and lightly spray it with coconut oil spray. Place the dough on top and use your hands to press it out to a rectangle about 4 inches wide by 7.5 inches long. It should press out very easily.
To Assemble:
Spread the cinnamon filling out onto the dough rectangle, leaving a 1/4-inch border all around. Start with one of the short ends and roll the dough into a log.
To Cook:
Spray the inside of a standard-sized microwave-safe mug with coconut oil spray. Place the cinnamon roll inside. Microwave until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with a couple crumbs, about 90 seconds.
For the Glaze:
Add all ingredients to a small bowl and mix with a fork to combine.
To Serve:
Drizzle the glaze on the Cinnamon Roll and serve immediately.
