Variations on This Recipe
- Oreo swap. Instead of using classic Oreos, use any flavor Oreos you want.
- Or go chocolate chip! Or instead of using Oreos, take this dip another direction and use crushed chocolate chip cookies instead.
- Cool Whip. If you’re not a fan of Cool Whip, you can swap it out for 1 cup of heavy whipping cream + 1/2 cup powdered sugar. Beat the cream to stiff peaks and then beat in the powdered sugar.
- Deck it out. Add a few festive colored sprinkles on top to match whatever you’re celebrating. For example, rainbow sprinkles for a birthday, red and green sprinkles for Christmas, etc.
- Add ins. For more texture and flavor, add in up to 1 cup of chocolate chips, shredded coconut, or chopped nuts. Or go nuts and use a mixture!

- Instead of crushing the Oreos in a bag, you can use a food processor if you prefer.
- Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature, otherwise you may have lumps of cream cheese throughout the dip.
- Folding the Cool Whip in 1/3 at a time helps keep this dip light and fluffy.
