Easy 2 Ingredient Oreo Mug Cake From TikTok
Other than just sitting down to Oreos and milk, this is one of the easiest Oreo dessert recipes you'll find!
Ingredients in the TikTok Oreo Mug Cake
- Oreos - any type of Oreo cookies will work; my favorite way to make this Oreo dessert is with regular Oreos (go with Double Stuff if you like it extra sweet!)
- Milk - same as Oreos, any kind of milk will work here; regular whole milk is my go-to
How to Make Oreo Mug Cake
- Add all ingredients to an 8 to 12-ounce microwave-safe mug.
- Use a fork to mash the cookies into the milk.
- When you're done mashing, the cookies and milk mixture will look like this!
- Microwave for 45 seconds on high. Check the cake to see if it's done. If not, microwave in additional 15-second increments until done.
Oreo and Milk Mug Cake Microwave Timing
The time needed to cook a mug cake can vary a little bit with different microwaves. Start with 45 seconds on high, and add additional 15-second intervals as needed until the cake is done.
There are a couple different ways to tell when a mug cake is done:
- For starters, the toothpick test is always a winner! Just insert a toothpick in the center of the cake. If it comes out dry or with just a couple crumbs, it's done.
- Alternatively, if you don't have a toothpick, just jiggle the mug a bit to make sure the cake is set in the center.
If the cake is cooked properly, the top will feel a little sticky. And if it's overcooked, the top will feel dry.
Variations on the Oreo Mug Cake Recipe
- Golden Oreo Funfetti Mug Cake: 4 golden Oreos, 3 tablespoons milk (mixed), and then 1/2 tablespoon rainbow sprinkles stirred in
- Peanut Butter Oreo Mug Cake: 4 peanut butter Oreos, 3 tablespoons milk (mixed), and then 1 tablespoon peanut butter swirled in
- Grasshopper Oreo Mug Cake: 4 mint Oreos, 3 tablespoons milk (mixed)
All of these Oreo mug cake variations cook in the same sized mug for the same amount of time as the regular Oreo mug cake recipe.

To make this recipe, you'll need one 8 to 12-ounce microwave-safe mug.
Can I Make a Microwave Oreo and Milk Mug Cake in Advance?
The quick answer: no.
And now if you want the explanation, read on.
The beauty of this quick and easy mug cake is that it whips up in 1 minute and microwaves in 1 minute. That means that in just 2 minutes total time, you will have a gooey, warm single serving of cake! And bonus, the only dirty dishes to clean are your mug and fork.
However, I don't recommend making this treat in advance. Actually, like most mug cake recipes, this Oreo mug cake is best eaten while it's still warm. Just make sure to let it cool enough so you don't burn your tongue!
I find that if you let this mug cake sit until completely cooled, it has a tendency to turn rubbery. And friends, let's be real, no one's trying to eat rubbery cake!
